Manhattan Associates Strengthens Relationship with Voxware

HAMILTON, NJ – January 30, 2012 – Voxware, a leading supplier of software applications for voice-driven warehousing operations, and Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), the leading supply chain optimization company, announced that Voxware has become a member of Manhattan’s Value Partner program. Prior to this, in July 2011, the two companies entered into an agreement making Manhattan Associates a reseller of Voxware’s voice solutions. These agreements facilitate a very close working relationship to ensure the companies continue to provide value-based solutions to Manhattan customers.

Voice technology uses speech recognition and speech synthesis to allow distribution center workers to communicate with the Warehouse Management solution to improve accuracy and productivity in tasks such as Order Picking, Goods Receiving, Pallet Put-away and Let-down, and Stock Checking.

The agreement paves the way for Manhattan WMS customers to leverage voice solutions for key business initiatives supporting customer satisfaction, retention and competitiveness through further supply chain optimization.

Voxware becomes First Warehouse Voice Vendor to Support Android

Voxware Releases Version 4.1 of Popular Voxware 3 Software Product

HAMILTON, NJ – May 17, 2011 – Voxware, a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, announced the release of version 4.1 of the Voxware 3 software product suite.

“This is a significant release that increases the functional richness of Voxware 3,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “It continues our track record of providing new capabilities requested by customers, and making those features available in follow-on releases to all customers who purchased the requisite applications.”

Release 4.1 includes a long list of technical and functional enhancements. Among them are provisions for advanced “Bucket Brigade” picking, where assignments are passed from one worker to the next as orders are fulfilled. Also included is a console feature enabling site managers to batch and split multiple assignments, which transparently augments WMS functionality and allows for on-the-spot decision-making that maximizes available resources.

Another major capability is the built-in WMS Adapter Framework. This visual integration tool has been proven to dramatically reduce the time and cost to build and maintain voice interfaces with virtually any WMS, and makes it far easier to evolve the way voice is used by an operation than is possible with other approaches.

New mobility devices have been certified with this release, units manufactured by LXE, Motorola and Psion.

Survey: Traceability a Priority for Food Service Execs, but Cost-Cutting Still Tops Corporate Agendas

Hamilton, NJ – November 30, 2010 – While establishing traceability strategies has become a priority for food service executives, cost cutting initiatives remain at the top of the priority list for 2011, according to a survey released today by Voxware, a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations. More than three quarters of those polled (76%) said that traceability is a priority for their companies, yet only ten percent said it was their top priority, according to the survey conducted at the International Food Distributors Association’s annual conference. More than half (57%) of the respondents said that cutting costs is their top priority over the next 12 months.

The survey points to the growing emphasis on adopting traceability standards across the food service industry. It also indicates a potential conflict in priorities as organizations grapple with the expense of implementing traceability while simultaneously focusing on cost cutting in the broader operation.

Traceability has become more important to food service companies’ customers, as nearly a third (31%) of those polled said their customers ask either frequently or urgently about plans on compliance. An additional 52 percent of respondents said their customers are asking about traceability occasionally. Another indication of the growing support for traceability is that, despite the clear focus on cost cutting, the overwhelming majority of respondents (72%) said they are either somewhat likely or very likely to adopt some traceability standards in the near future.

“Traceability is becoming an increasingly important issue for food service companies and their customers and this survey confirms decisions we made in regard to traceability support in our software,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “We see a real opportunity for organizations to proactively implement standards, gain good will from their customers and in some cases gain competitive advantage. Our goal is to provide them with the technology and the expertise to implement solutions as seamlessly and cost-effectively as possible.”

Most respondents (93%) agree that outbound traceability data should be captured at the point of the pick, although there is no consensus on the best technique for capturing the data. Over half (55%) said that utilizing voice, in some cases combined with scanning, is the best technique for outbound data capture. The survey polled food service managers and executives. Voxware designed the survey to provide its food service customers and prospects with insights around the highly discussed traceability issue.

Version 4.0 of Voxware 3 includes a significant expansion of the Enterprise Voice Manager, which is part of the Voxware Adaptive Voice Framework. Voxware Reports Third Quarter Results for Fiscal 2010

Hamilton, NJ – May 17, 2010 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, reported results for the three and nine months ended March 31, 2010. Overall revenues decreased 17% to $3.354 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 from $4.021 million during the comparable prior year period. Revenues decreased 12% to $9.465 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2010 from $10.724 million during the comparable prior year period. Net loss on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) basis was $591,000 for the quarter ended March 31, 2010, compared to $560,000 for the comparable prior year period. Net loss on a GAAP basis was $2.334 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2010, compared to a net loss of $4.223 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2009, an improvement of $1.889 million. Voxware Reports Second Quarter Results for Fiscal 2010

HAMILTON, NJ – February 12, 2010 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, reported results for the three and six months ended December 31, 2009. Overall revenues decreased 2% to $3.364 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 from $3.449 million during the comparable prior year period. Revenues decreased 9% to $6.111 million for the six months ended December 31, 2009 from $6.703 million during the comparable prior year period. Net loss on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) basis was $528,000 for the quarter ended December 31, 2009, compared to $1.693 million for the comparable prior year period. Net loss on a GAAP basis was $1.743 million for the six months ended December 31, 2009, compared to a net loss of $3.663 million for the six months ended December 31, 2008. “During our second fiscal quarter, we saw a revenue increase over our first quarter of 22% and only a small 2% decrease from the prior period,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “This reporting period concludes the first half of fiscal 2010. As we have previously stated, we took steps to more closely align expenses with expected revenue, and the improvement in our bottom line reflects the initial impact of those steps. Our cash position remains strong at $2.8 million as we move into the second half of the year.”

Voxware Reports First Quarter Results for Fiscal 2010

Worldwide Economic Conditions Contributed to Challenging Quarter

HAMILTON, NJ – November 13, 2009 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, reported results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. Overall revenues decreased 16% to $2.747 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 from $3.254 million during the comparable prior year period. Net loss on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) basis was $1.215 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared to a net loss of $1.970 million for the comparable prior year period. Voxware's financial statements for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, can be found in its Form 10-Q filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 13, 2009.

“We previously stated that we expected challenging economic conditions to continue into Fiscal 2010, and that has been the case,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “In addition to the slow summer months, the overall economy continues to influence spending decisions by current and prospective customers.”

“Our cash position remains strong at $3.8 million, and our debt is low. We have taken further steps to ensure that expenses will be more closely aligned with expected revenue during the second half of fiscal 2010.”

Net loss on a non-GAAP basis was $868,000 for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. The difference between the GAAP and non-GAAP net loss is attributable to non-cash stock-based compensation, which was $347,000 for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. Moreover, because of varying available valuation methodologies and the variety of award types that companies can use under current accounting literature, we believe that providing non-GAAP financial measures that exclude non-cash stock-based compensation allows investors to make additional comparisons between our operating results to those of other companies. The presentation of non-GAAP net loss, when read in conjunction with our reported GAAP results, can provide useful supplemental information to our management and investors regarding financial and business trends relating to our financial condition and results of operations.

Stock-based compensation has been and will continue to be for the foreseeable future a significant recurring expense in our business. Tawa Supermarket Implements Voxware 3 to Voice-Enable DC Operations

SAP Integration Results in Fast and Effective Deployment Hamilton, NJ – November 16, 2009 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, announced that Tawa Supermarket, Inc., has implemented its Voxware 3 software product.

The Voxware 3 solution was configured and deployed in four weeks. Originally used with Tawa’s legacy WMS, the Voxware 3 application was ported after just four months to SAP. Working in tandem with Tawa’s IT organization, Voxware accomplished the migration to SAP in less than three weeks. Workers continued to use the same processes and voice dialogs after the cutover to SAP. Voxware 3 works in real time with SAP, ensuring that store orders are fulfilled accurately.

“We were able to start using Voxware’s voice software right away, and then move to SAP at a later scheduled date,” said Chen. “We lost no operational time, workers did not need to be retrained, and we kept building our effectiveness in using the Voxware system.”

Voxware Selected by Canadian 3PL Progistix to Enhance Picking Process at SAP Location

Progistix Handles Distribution for Bell, Canada’s Largest Telephone and Communications Company. Hamilton, NJ – October 6, 2009 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, announced that Progistix, a member of SCI Group Inc. and one of Canada’s largest third party solutions providers has implemented the Voxware 3 voice directed picking solution at their customer site, Bell, Canada’s largest telephone and communications company. Voxware 3 is seamlessly integrated with SAP, the warehouse management system in use at the site. At Progistix, pickers select a variety of small electronic parts, small coils of wire, ladders and fuses, in a batched pick. SAP WM 6.0 clusters these orders together based on order profiles and the warehouse layout. The voice system then directs the picker to select items for the orders and where to place them on rolling carts to correctly fulfill the orders. Voxware 3 uses web services to facilitate this real-time integration with SAP. Exceptions, such as shorts, skips or over picks are handled by Voxware 3. The voice system can also validate handling units with SAP in real-time and send notifications back to the WMS once assignments are complete. “The implementation at Progistix is a great example of how Voxware can integrate directly with leading WMS vendors such as SAP,” said Scott Yetter, CEO of Voxware.
