Voxware Releases Version 4.0 of Popular Voxware 3 Software Product

Enterprise Voice Manager Strengthens Centralized Management of Voice Applications across Multiple...

HAMILTON, NJ – August 3, 2010 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice picking and other warehouse operations, announced that version 4.0 of its Voxware 3 product is now available.
Version 4.0 of Voxware 3 includes a significant expansion of the Enterprise Voice Manager, which is part of the Voxware Adaptive Voice Framework. The enhancements enable customers to deploy and manage voice picking applications from a single instance of software in a central data center, across many warehouses, even when warehouse layouts vary and voice workflows differ in each facility.
“Software architecture should not dictate a centralized or decentralized deployment approach,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “We developed the Enterprise Voice Manager so our customers can implement voice picking software that reflects current IT standards and significantly reduces the total cost of ownership for deploying voice solutions in the warehouse”.
“We have many large customers already using the centralized deployment approach to reduce costs while simplifying support. One customer, Performance Food Group, operates 18 warehouses across North America and over 600 concurrent pickers on one instance of Voxware 3 located in their Richmond, VA data center.”
Even if customers decide to move back and forth between centralized and decentralized management of their voice solution, they can keep the same Voxware systems in place and such changes are transparent to the users.
In addition to the Enterprise Voice Manager, version 4.0 also includes many functional enhancements to order picking, replenishment, and putaway applications. Also, support for additional devices from Intermec, LXE, and Motorola are delivered, providing customers with the widest range of mobile devices that support voice solutions in the warehouse.

Pierre’s Ice Cream Company distributes approximately 1,000 ice cream products and frozen treats from its 40,000-square-foot, all-freezer warehouse in Cleveland, Ohio. And as one can expect, picking cartons of ice cream using paper picking tickets in temperatures of -20 degrees Fahrenheit clearly presented its own set of challenges.
In March 2008, the company selected Voxware’s speaker dependent software operating on LXE’s rugged, freezer-proof HX3 unit. Access points were added to beef up RF coverage, and in June 2008, voice picking at Pierre’s went live. Productivity quickly skyrocketed, reducing the need for pickers from 15 to 9. Order accuracy went from 99.7 percent to a consistent 99.96 percent and above. And training is now a piece of cake.

A vast array of safety and security measures ensures our food supply is the safest it’s ever been.

Belron Group Deploys Voxware 3 Software

Implementation at Laddaw® Distribution Centre in the UK Boosts
Order Selection Efficiency

Reading, England – June 1, 2010 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, announced that Belron, the world’s leading vehicle glass repair company, has deployed its Voxware 3 software product at Laddaw®, one of the Belron® Group’s largest European distribution centres.
“We selected Voxware because they offer a packaged software product with a toolset for configuring voice solutions,” said John Cooper, Head of Logistics at Laddaw® “Our analysis pointed toward a significant productivity improvement by moving to a voice-driven, hands-free operation, but we also wanted an open and configurable software product to give us flexibility for the future to enable a global roll-out across our distribution centres.”
The Voxware 3 solution is integrated with the Belron® Oracle warehouse management system, and converts order data into voice-enabled assignments using business rules that are specific to the Laddaw operation. Because the products are automotive glass and glazing products, great care must be taken to pick items in the correct order to facilitate easy packing. By working hands-free, order pickers move faster, increasing efficiency and there has also been a reduction in product handling damage.
“Belron® had a well-conceived plan and knew what they wanted,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “We are very pleased that Voxware 3 has proven itself at Laddaw®, and are working with Belron® to take voice to additional facilities operated by the Belron® Group.”
About Belron

Net loss on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) basis was $591,000 for the quarter ended March 31, 2010, compared to $560,000 for the comparable prior year period. Net loss on a GAAP basis was $2.334 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2010, compared to a net loss of $4.223 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2009, an improvement of $1.889 million. Voxware's financial statements for the quarter ended March 31, 2010, can be found in its Form 10-Q filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 17, 2010.
“During our third fiscal quarter, we saw revenue remain steady compared to our second quarter of fiscal 2010,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “As we have previously stated, we have taken steps to ensure that expenses excluding non-cash stock-based compensation will be more closely aligned with expected revenue during the remainder of fiscal 2010. Our third quarter results are in line with where we expected to be at this point of our fiscal year. Furthermore, our cash position remains strong at $3.4 million as we move into the remainder of the year.”
“Large enterprises continue to seriously evaluate Voxware’s software, and we are confident that cost containment projects such as implementing voice in distribution centers will be among the first to be funded as the economic climate improves.”
Net loss on a non-GAAP basis was $229,000 and $1.249 million, respectively, for the three and nine months ended March 31, 2010. The difference between the GAAP and non-GAAP net loss is attributable to non-cash stock-based compensation, which was $362,000 and $1.085 million, respectively for the three and nine months ended March 31, 2010. A reconciliation of GAAP measures with non-GAAP measures can be found at the end of this release.

Major Foodservice Companies Meet to Discuss Compliance Initiative

Hamilton, NJ – May 4, 2010 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a supplier of packaged software for voice solutions in the warehouse, hosted leading foodservice companies including major distributors US Foodservice and Performance Food Group on April 13 at a Roundtable focused on the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI).
“We had some of the largest food distributors in North America, who collectively manage over 100 warehouses,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “Because of the ongoing development in our software, our customers can leverage their investment in Voxware for PTI. The roundtable enabled us to confirm our product strategy for PTI by interacting with our customers as they prepare for this emerging industry issue.”
“The Technology Roundtable was a very useful forum. As a group we learned from one another and helped identify key areas where technology can assist in compliance efforts, and we were pleased to see how our Voxware product will support our requirements,” said Jeff Williamson, Senior Vice President of Operations for Performance Food Group.
“Traceability is extremely important in the Canadian market,” said Fadi Swayty, Project Manager at Tannis Food Distributors in Ontario. “The Roundtable provided a forum where we foodservice companies could compare requirements and discuss different ways to satisfy them.”
Voxware supports PTI via the integrated scanning capability included in the Voxware 3 software suite, and the company plans to add more features in upcoming releases. “There is no substitute for listening to your customers,” said Yetter. “The Roundtable helped solidify our product direction, and the contribution of these market leaders will help Voxware deliver a better product to our customers.”

About Voxware

Voxware, Inc. Now that same thing is happening in voice and that’s probably a good thing for end users and voice
technology overall. “It’s validation of the space,” said Yetter. “It shows an end user that voice is no longer a science project. It’s an open market where users have options.”

Hamilton, NJ – March 16, 2010 – Voxware, Inc. (Nasdaq: VOXW), a leading supplier of voice picking software for warehousing operations, announced support for the IBM WebSphere application server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system. A major US retailer has chosen this technology stack for the rollout of their Voxware 3 voice picking solution.

“Voice vendors traditionally offered few if any choices in system software needed to operate their solutions,” said Scott Yetter, Voxware CEO. “Most companies have been moving toward thin client, loosely-coupled applications deployed on true enterprise platforms because they are easier to scale, manage, and support. Yet many voice solutions are fat client, tightly-coupled applications that don’t fit easily into a modern IT technology stack.

“Today’s announcement reflects Voxware’s commitment to modernize voice in the warehouse by supporting the kind of technology options that today’s enterprise IT organizations have integrated into their operational standards.”

Pricing for IBM WebSphere and Red Hat Enterprise Linux support is available from Voxware. Contact Voxware for details on specific release versions supported.

WebSphere is a trademark of IBM. LINUX is a trademark of Linus Torvalds.
