Works with Infor WMS

Infor WMS is a tier-1, cloud-based warehouse management system for distributors, 3PLs and manufacturers. Voxware customers run it today. Infor decides what happens in the building: what gets picked, in what wave, against what labor standard. Voxware is how that work actually gets done at the pick face, by voice, hands free, in a noisy warehouse or a freezer. Infor plans it. Voxware picks it. That’s why the two get along.

What Infor WMS does

Infor calls Infor WMS a tier-1, cloud-based warehouse management system with AI, 3D visualization, voice processing and built-in analytics, running on the multi-tenant Infor Industry Cloud Platform. Infor says Gartner named it a Leader in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems, the eighth time in a row. It’s built for operations with more than one building, more than one inventory owner and more than one way of picking.

Inventory controlMulti-site, multi-owner inventory. Configurable rotation rules, attribute capture, LPN tracking, real-time visibility down to the bin.
3D visual warehouseAn interactive 3D model of each building. Watch congestion build and do something about it before it backs up.
Receiving and put-awayDock door scheduling, QC inspection, directed put-away, cross-docking and flow-through, mixed and rainbow pallets. RF and voice processing.
Wave managementWaves built and scheduled by line count, weight or destination, across B2B, B2C and 3PL work.
Picking and replenishmentOrder, cluster, wave and batch picking. Dynamic replenishment. AI-driven pick path optimization to cut travel and congestion.
Labor managementLabor standards built from elements and conditions, with actual-versus-standard for individuals and teams.
3PL billing and value-added servicesAccount-specific workflows for customer-level costing and invoicing. Kitting, bundling, labeling.

Who runs it

Distributors, 3PLs and manufacturers, especially ones running a network of buildings on a single instance. Infor’s own customer stories talk about 14-site and 44-site operations on one cloud WMS. Several DCs, a lot of case and each picking, a workforce that turns over. That’s also the profile where voice pays for itself fastest, which is why we see so much Infor.

Where Voxware fits alongside Infor WMS

Infor knows what. Voxware handles how.

A WMS is a planning and record-keeping system. It knows what’s where, who owns it, what the wave looks like and how long the labor standard says a task should take. What it can’t do is stand next to the picker.

That’s Voxware’s job. Infor releases the work. Voxware turns each task into a short spoken exchange with the associate. The associate confirms by voice, or with a ring scan where a barcode is the better proof, and the result lands back in Infor as it happens. Infor stays the system of record. Nothing gets copied, nothing moves out.

Pick more

Hands free and eyes up means fewer taps per pick and less stopping to read a screen. Over a shift of several hundred picks per associate, that adds up.

Pick correctly

Item, location and quantity get confirmed where the work happens, so mistakes are stopped there instead of caught at QC. Voxware customers report picking accuracy up to 99.99%.

Ramp faster

Voice walks a new or seasonal associate through every step, so they’re productive while they’re still learning. Infor’s labor standards measure the result. Voxware is what gets a new hire there.

See the shift while it’s running

Live KPI dashboards show picks per hour, accuracy and exceptions by user, zone and building as they happen. You fix a drifting shift at 10:30 in the morning, not in tomorrow’s report.

Runs on the hardware you own

Standard Android wearables and handhelds, including the Zebra and Honeywell devices already common on Infor sites. No rip and replace. No new system of record.

Voice is all we do

Voxware has built voice for the warehouse for more than 25 years. Our optimization consultants have 20-plus years in distribution, and they stay on the account after go-live.

Infor WMS already lists voice processing. Why add Voxware?

Every workflow gets its own dialog, built in VoxConsole: the prompts, the check digits, the exception paths.

Infor lists RF and voice processing in receiving, put-away and picking. If voice is an occasional convenience on your floor, that may be all you need, and we’ll say so.

Voxware is for the sites where voice is how a full shift of work gets done. Different job. Our recognizer was built for forklifts, conveyors, dock doors, accents, and freezers where cold hands and gloves make a screen the slowest tool on the floor. Each workflow has a dialog designed for it, with the prompts, check digits and exception paths a picker actually needs, not a screen transaction read aloud. Recognition runs on the device, so picking carries on through Wi-Fi dead zones. The live dashboards and the consultants come with it.

Adding Voxware takes nothing away from Infor. It puts a specialist on the one part of the job Infor hands to the associate.

Live numbers next to Infor’s

Infor’s labor management tells you how the shift went. Voxware’s dashboards tell you how it’s going. Picks per hour by route, average assignment time, exceptions as they happen, idle time across the shift, all captured the moment the associate confirms.

Your team builds the dashboards. Add a gadget, drop one, build a different view for a supervisor than for the GM. A shift that’s falling behind is a problem you can still fix at 10:30 a.m. In tomorrow’s report it’s just a number you have to explain.

Traceability built into the pick

Food safety rules and traceability expectations keep tightening, and the usual answer is one more step at the pick face: a scan, a label check, a form. Voxware builds it into the conversation instead. When a lot-controlled item comes up, the picker reads or scans the lot number as part of the pick, and it’s recorded against that order before the case leaves the slot. The lot-number capture is reliable and accurate, and pickers take to it quickly. It works the same way in the ambient building and the freezer, and because it’s part of the voice dialog, nobody is trading accuracy or pace for compliance. The lot record stays in Infor. Voxware makes sure the right lot actually got picked.

Loading closes the loop. The voice loading workflow confirms each pallet or stop onto the right trailer, and at the end the loader reads back the seal number fastened to the trailer’s back doors. That number is saved with the load, so when the truck arrives, the receiver can check that the seal matches and nothing was touched in transit. For food and pharma, that is a consumer-safety record, not paperwork.

Where the fit is strongest, and where it isn’t

Voice earns its place where every pick is a decision. The Infor operations that fit look like this: three or more DCs, high-volume less-than-pallet picking (cases, eaches, mixed pallets, pick and pack), real accuracy and productivity targets, multiple shifts, and a workforce with new, temporary or seasonal associates in it. Our deepest proof is in food and foodservice distribution, medical and healthcare, Janitorial and Sanitation, paper, plastics and disposables, and third-party logistics. Cold storage in any of them.

Where the fit is weaker: an Infor site that is mostly full pallets on forklifts with little order selection. The signal is decisions per labor hour, not volume. If most moves are one pallet, one location, one scan, Infor’s RF transactions are probably enough, and we’ll tell you that too.

Infor stays the system of record

Adding Voxware changes nothing about what Infor knows or decides. Inventory, allocation, waves, labor standards and billing stay where they are. The associate’s confirmations land back in Infor as they happen. Voxware runs with Infor WMS on-premise or on Infor’s cloud, and if you move from one to the other, the voice workflows move with you.

Hardware

Voxware runs on standard Android devices, and a lot of Infor sites already have them. For a full-shift picking operation the usual setup is a wearable on the wrist, a headset and a ring scanner for the confirmations voice can’t make on its own. The full list is on the Certified Hardware page.

Common questions

Does Voxware work with Infor WMS?

Yes. We have customers running Voxware and Infor WMS together today. Infor stays the system of record for inventory, orders, waves and labor. Voxware takes the work Infor releases, talks the associate through it, and sends the confirmations back as they happen. On-premise or cloud Infor, either one.

Infor WMS already lists voice processing. Why add Voxware?

Infor lists RF and voice processing in receiving, put-away and picking, and for a site that uses voice now and then, that may be all you need. Voxware is for the sites where voice is how the whole shift gets done. Our recognizer was built for forklifts, conveyors and freezers. Each workflow has its own dialog, not a screen read out loud. Recognition runs on the device, so a Wi-Fi dead zone doesn’t stop the pick. And you get live dashboards and consultants who’ve run warehouses. Voice is all we do.

Does Voxware replace any part of Infor WMS?

No. Infor keeps every decision it makes today: inventory, waves, labor standards, 3PL billing, the 3D warehouse, pick path optimization. Voxware changes how the associate carries those decisions out. It doesn’t change who makes them.

Which workflows can Voxware voice-direct in an Infor WMS operation?

Picking in whatever method Infor is using (order, cluster, batch or wave), replenishment, receiving and put-away, cycle counting, and pack and load. Most customers start with picking, since that’s where the mistakes cost the most, then add the rest.

Does my Infor WMS need to be in the cloud to use Voxware?

No. Voxware works with Infor WMS on-premise or on Infor’s cloud. If you move from one to the other, the voice workflows come with you.

What hardware do I need to run Voxware with Infor WMS?

Standard Android devices, and a lot of Infor sites already own them. Voxware certifies wearables and handhelds from Zebra and Honeywell, headsets from Zebra, Honeywell, Jabra and Trident, plus ring scanners and mobile printers. The most common setup is a Zebra WT6300 on the wrist, an HS3100 headset and an RS5100 ring scanner.

What happens in a Wi-Fi dead zone?

The picker keeps picking. Voxware’s speech recognition runs on the device, so prompts and confirmations keep going while the radio is out of range. The device still needs a connection to trade work with Infor, and it catches up when the signal comes back. The radio itself doesn’t hold a connection where there isn’t one.

Can Voxware capture lot numbers and trailer seal numbers?

Yes. Lot-controlled items prompt the picker for the lot number as part of the pick, by voice or ring scan, and it’s recorded against the order. In the loading workflow the loader captures the seal number fastened to the trailer’s back doors, so the load is sealed and on record before it leaves. Both work the same in ambient and cold storage.
